Joshua Fickling has been dancing since he was three years old. His training comes from two prestigious schools: the Royal Ballet School and Moorland International Ballet Academy, where he is set to graduate from this year. Throughout his dancing career, Joshua has received several awards. In 2019, he was invited to the YAGP finals in New York, which was a major international dance competition. This year, he was also awarded the Cecchetti Society Trust - Barbara Geoghegan and Jennifer Morgan Musicality Award, which was a significant achievement for him. Recently, Joshua had the opportunity to work with Birmingham Royal Ballet and perform in their 2023 national tour of Swan Lake. He considers it an incredible experience and is grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a prestigious company. Joshua has secured a contract with Sarasota Ballet for their 23/24 Season. Joshua’s ultimate dream is to become a Principal Dancer with a ballet company, and he is confident that with hard work and dedication, he can one day make this dream a reality. Outside of the studio, Joshua enjoys cycling in the countryside, which he finds to be a great way to stay fit and clear his mind.
