Laurie McSherry-Gray was born in Yorkshire, England in 1988. He graduated from The Royal Ballet School in London in 2008 and joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet. Shortly after, he joined Corella Ballet in Spain under the direction of Angel Corella where he danced repertoire such as Swan Lake, Paquita, Raymonda, Bruch Violin Concerto and works such as Danse à Grande Vitesse and Polyphonia by Wheeldon. In 2012 Laurie joined The Royal Ballet of Flanders and was promoted to Soloist in 2016. He has had the opportunity to feature in lead roles such as Lensky in Onegin by John Cranko. 2nd pas de deux in Infra by McGregor, Pink pas de deux in Kylian's Forgotten Land, Dialoog by Jeanne Brabants, The Nutcracker in Demis Volpi's Nutcracker and Melody in Maurice Bajart's Bolero.
